By visiting this website, contacting our office, or engaging the forward room and systems design services of SHSPJ Enterprises, LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site and do not leave mail at our desk. These terms form a binding agreement between you and the company, and they replace any earlier verbal summary of how the room works.
If you accept these terms for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case the words you and your include the organization and the people who act for it. A client agreement signed by both parties may add to these terms, and where it conflicts, the signed agreement governs the specific point it addresses.
SHSPJ Enterprises, LLC is a limited liability company organized in the United States, with its business address at 36 S State St Ste 1900, Salt Lake City - 84111-1478, United States (US). The firm works in computer systems design and related professional, scientific and technical services, and it operates a forward room that receives, holds and forwards correspondence for clients.
Our email address is forward@shspjent.lol and our telephone number is +14057254154. Our website is published at https://www.shspjent.lol. Notices under these terms should be sent to the email address above, and a notice is effective when it is received during business hours or on the next business day.
These terms cover the services described on this site, which include the six runs of the forward room and the systems design work that supports our clients. The forward room runs are the Address Forwarding Desk, Package Hold Rounds, Correspondence Dispatch, Scan-to-Inbox Days, Junk Filter Sessions and Quarterly Purge Weeks. The systems design work covers requirements analysis, architecture planning, integration planning and related technical services as agreed in writing.
We may add, adjust or retire a service over time. When a change affects an existing client arrangement, we give reasonable notice and we honor the terms of the arrangement for the period already paid. Nothing on this site is an offer that binds us until we confirm an arrangement in writing.
Our services are intended for businesses, organizations and adults who can enter a contract. By opening a forward desk you confirm that you are at least eighteen years old, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the service under the law that applies to you.
We may ask for proof of identity or proof of authority to act for an organization before accepting mail in a name. We do this to protect the people whose mail passes through the room and to avoid holding correspondence for a person who has not agreed to the arrangement. A refusal to provide reasonable proof may lead us to decline an arrangement.
A forward desk begins with a short written arrangement that names the client, the names that may receive mail, the forwarding destination on file, any hold or scan instructions, and the start date. The desk confirms the arrangement in writing, and the room accepts mail in the client name from that date forward.
The client is responsible for keeping the names and destination current. A change takes effect on the next business day after we confirm it in writing. Mail that arrives after a name has been removed from the arrangement may be returned to the carrier or held briefly while we try to reach the client, depending on what the record allows.
A forward desk is a mail handling service and not a franchise, a registration office or a legal address for service of process unless the written arrangement says so in specific terms. Clients who need a registered agent or a statutory address must arrange that separately with a qualified provider.
The room acts on written instructions from the client. An instruction may arrive by email, through the contact form, or in a signed note delivered to the desk. Verbal instructions are accepted for a routine matter such as a parcel release, but we may ask for written confirmation before acting on a change to the forwarding destination or to the scan schedule.
We follow the latest instruction on the record. If two instructions conflict and the record is unclear, we pause and ask the client rather than guess. A pause protects the client. Where an instruction would require us to do something outside these terms, we may decline it and explain the reason.
Clients must not ask us to open sealed mail outside a scan day, to forward a piece addressed to a person who has not authorized the arrangement, or to sign for a delivery that the client has not agreed to accept. A request of that kind is outside the service and we will not carry it out.
The room accepts ordinary correspondence, business mail, catalogues, documents, small parcels and similar items addressed to a client name on the arrangement. We accept certified and registered mail where the carrier offers a signature service at our address, and we log the item when it is signed for.
Parcels must fit within the space the room can store and must not exceed the weight limit stated in the arrangement. A client who expects a large delivery should tell the desk in advance so the hold bay can be prepared. We may accept an oversized item on a temporary basis, but we are not obliged to store it beyond the agreed window.
Mail must be lawful to send, receive and store. The client is responsible for the contents of any item sent to the desk and for compliance with carrier rules, customs rules and the law of the destination.
We do not accept items that are illegal, hazardous, perishable beyond a short hold, or dangerous to staff and visitors. This includes explosives, flammable liquids, live animals, firearms, controlled substances and any item that a carrier refuses to handle. We also decline mail that appears to be part of a fraud or a scheme to deceive a person.
If an item arrives that we cannot accept, we will contact the client and ask for a plan. Where the item is clearly prohibited or unsafe, we may contact the carrier or the authorities and we may dispose of the item in a safe manner. We are not liable for a loss that results from a client sending a restricted item to the desk.
Fees for the forward desk and for systems design work are stated in the written arrangement or in an invoice. Fees cover the service described and do not include carrier postage, customs duties or any third party charge, which are billed separately or paid by the client directly. We aim to keep pricing plain and to explain any charge before it is incurred.
Invoices are due on the date stated on the invoice. If a payment is late, we may pause the acceptance of new mail and hold existing mail until the account is settled, provided we give notice first. We do not charge a late fee unless the arrangement or the invoice says so. A client who disputes a charge should contact us within the period stated on the invoice so we can review it.
Refunds are given where a service was not delivered as agreed. Fees for work already completed, such as scan days and dispatch runs, are not refunded merely because a client changes plans. Where a client cancels before a service begins, we refund any prepaid amount for that service after deducting costs we have already incurred.
Mail held at the desk stays within the retention window set in the arrangement. Holds are checked twice each business day, and a parcel that passes its window is flagged for contact. Four times a year the room runs a purge week, during which we reconcile the trays and list any item that has passed its window.
Clients receive the list before anything is cleared and have the claim period stated in the arrangement to collect or redirect an item. Items not claimed within that period are disposed of in a controlled manner. Paper that may contain personal details is shredded, advertising is recycled, and parcels are handled under the arrangement and the rules of the carrier that delivered them.
We are not liable for the disposal of an item that passed its window after a published list and an unclaimed period. A client who needs a longer hold should tell the desk before the purge week begins so the record can be updated.
Outgoing mail is prepared, weighed, franked and handed to a carrier at the close of the business day. We log each bundle with a count and a time. Once a carrier accepts a bundle, the carrier is responsible for delivery, and we cannot guarantee a delivery date or a delivery outcome.
We choose carriers with reasonable service standards, but delays, losses and misroutes do occur. If a piece goes astray, we will help the client open a carrier inquiry and provide the dispatch record. Our responsibility is limited to the handling of the piece while it is in our custody, and it ends when the carrier accepts it.
Clients should not send time critical documents through the standard dispatch run without telling the desk. Where a deadline matters, the desk will recommend a tracked service and explain the extra cost before sending.
On an agreed scan day, we open mail that the client has authorized us to open, image the pages and send a file to the client inbox. Scans are checked for legibility and page order. Originals stay in the tray and follow the forwarding route unless the client asks us to keep them at the desk for a stated period.
Scan files are held only long enough to confirm that they reached the inbox and are then deleted from working storage. The client is responsible for securing the inbox and for telling us if a file did not arrive. We are not responsible for a scan that is unreadable because the original was damaged or incomplete.
We do not scan a piece outside an agreed scan day, and we do not keep a copy of a scan after the confirmation period unless the client has asked for an archive and the arrangement allows it. A client can change the scan list at any time by written instruction.
The client is responsible for keeping the arrangement current, for providing accurate names and destinations, for paying fees on time, and for complying with the law that applies to the mail it receives. The client must tell us promptly if a name should be removed, if a destination changes, or if an item is expected that needs special handling.
The client must not use the desk to receive mail for a person who has not agreed to the arrangement, to hide from a lawful process, or to conduct a business that is unlawful in the United States. The client must keep its own records of what it expects to receive so it can spot a missing piece and tell us.
A client who authorizes another person to collect mail must confirm that authorization in writing and must update it when it ends. We may ask a person at the desk for identification before releasing an item, and we may refuse a release if the authority is unclear.

The site and the services are provided on an as available basis. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or free of error, or that a carrier will deliver a piece on time.
We do not provide legal, tax or financial advice. A description of a service on this site is general and does not create a guarantee of a particular outcome. Clients should consult a qualified professional for advice on their own situation.
Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or a right that the law does not allow to be limited. Where a disclaimer is not permitted, it applies to the fullest extent the law allows and the rest of these terms remain in force.
To the extent the law allows, SHSPJ Enterprises, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost opportunity or loss of goodwill, arising from the use of the site or the services. Our total liability for a claim connected to the forward room is limited to the fees paid for the service in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
We are not liable for a loss caused by a carrier, by a delay outside our control, by a force majeure event, or by a client instruction that turns out to be wrong. We are not liable for the contents of mail that we have not been authorized to open, and we are not liable for a piece that a client failed to tell us about.
Where the law does not allow a full exclusion, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits. These limits are a condition of the price we charge, and a client who needs a higher level of protection should discuss a separate written agreement with the desk.
You agree to indemnify and hold SHSPJ Enterprises, LLC harmless from a claim, loss or expense that arises from your breach of these terms, from a restricted item you send to the desk, from your use of the services in a way the law forbids, or from a claim that your mail infringes the rights of another person.
We will tell you promptly if a claim arises and will cooperate in a reasonable defense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault on our part without our written consent. This section survives the end of the arrangement.
Either party may end a forward desk arrangement by giving written notice. On the end date, the client should provide a final forwarding address and collect any held items within the claim period. We will forward mail that arrives after the end date for a short transition period where the record allows, and then return it to the carrier.
We may suspend a service immediately if a client sends a prohibited item, if an account is seriously overdue after notice, if the desk is used for fraud, or if continuing the service would put staff or other clients at risk. Where a suspension is not an emergency, we give notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
Fees already paid for a period after a termination caused by our breach are refunded on a pro rata basis. Fees owed for work already done remain due. Sections that by their nature should survive, including payment, liability, indemnity and dispute terms, continue after the arrangement ends.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and the laws of the United States that apply, without regard to conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Utah have exclusive jurisdiction over a dispute that cannot be resolved by discussion, and each party consents to that jurisdiction.
Before filing a claim, the parties agree to try to resolve the matter in good faith by writing to forward@shspjent.lol and describing the problem and the remedy sought. We will respond within a reasonable period and propose a time to talk. A claim that is not resolved after that discussion may be brought in the courts named above.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent relief from a court to protect a legal right or to prevent harm. If any part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
We may update these terms to reflect a change in the service, in the law or in the way the room works. The updated version takes effect when it is posted on this page with a new date, and we will send a notice to clients whose arrangement is affected. A client who does not accept a material change may end the arrangement before the change takes effect.
Continued use of the site or the services after a change means that the current terms apply. Earlier versions are kept in the office record so we can answer a question about what the terms said at a given time. These terms replace any earlier version on the same subject.
Questions about these terms should go to the forward room. Write to forward@shspjent.lol, call +14057254154, or send a letter to SHSPJ Enterprises, LLC, 36 S State St Ste 1900, Salt Lake City - 84111-1478, United States (US). The desk answers Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 Mountain Time, and messages received outside those hours are answered on the next business day.
Plain summary: the room follows written instructions, keeps sealed mail sealed, logs every dispatch and hold, lists unclaimed mail before a purge, and asks a client to pay for the service it receives. Either party can end an arrangement with written notice.
